New Product Introduction | Heat-Resistant 125°C Low-Smoke Halogen-Free Flame-Retardant Rubber Oil Drilling Rig Cable

Traditional petroleum drilling rig cables commonly used in the industry have a temperature rating of only 80-100°C, making them ill-suited for the high-temperature environments of deep-well drilling operations. While capable of withstanding certain elevated temperatures, they fail to meet low-smoke, halogen-free environmental standards.

As core equipment for oil and gas exploration and development, petroleum drilling rigs operate in extremely complex conditions: temperatures around drilling platform motors frequently exceed 100°C, causing traditional cables to age rapidly and their insulation to crack due to heat exposure. Furthermore, should a cable short circuit and ignite during drilling operations, traditional halogen-containing cables release toxic gases and dense black smoke when burning. This not only endangers the lives of personnel on site but may also cause equipment shutdowns and delays in exploration progress.

Targeting market characteristics and vast potential, its R&D team independently developed and produced a new product: heat-resistant 125°C low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant rubber petroleum drilling rig cables.



To meet temperature resistance requirements, the R&D team redesigned, prototyped, and tested insulation materials while selecting and testing sheath materials, achieving favorable results. The product employs a fifth-generation tinned copper conductor processed through stranding and re-stranding techniques. Its structure features a heat-resistant rubber insulation layer + tinned metal braided shielding layer + low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant elastomer sheath layer. The product delivers high current-carrying capacity, excellent resistance to repeated bending and torsion, and withstands extreme temperatures and mud exposure. Through multiple production trials and iterative optimization, consistent product performance is assured.

This product has undergone comprehensive performance testing by Shanghai Lanhui Testing Technology Co., Ltd. and obtained the corresponding test report. The related technology has secured one utility model patent. User feedback has been positive, demonstrating favorable economic and social benefits. All performance indicators meet product standard requirements. The product has successfully passed the Zhejiang Provincial Industrial New Product Appraisal, with its technical level reaching the domestic leading standard.
